    1. I am new at this, but I will try my best Rebecca. Take my comment with a grain of salt. First of all, I love the idea that a video game is going to take over an entire school. This sounds like a powerful idea tapping into a subject every parent/learning coach/ teacher is worried about or should be. I am not sure you need to precise that people are vanishing. I think what is missing in your pitch is what the stakes are for Maxine. What will happen if Maxine does not battle the video game? I know that the school will disappear, but I would like to have the character arc. Why is it so important for Maxine to do this? What's so special about Maxine? Example: Maxine, the cheer leader of Elementary High needs to keep her reputation when a video game gobbles up half of the school. She organizes students to brave horrifying avatars. Something like this. Hope that helps :)

  3. Thanks for the crit, Sussu, and Happy Thanksgiving! I like your pitch and get a good sense for the MC, the problem and the stakes. The one thing I wonder is why is she more likely to be able to save her save her sister from inside Juvie than if she were free? It's so hard to make a story clear in 140 characters!
