What's Up Wednesday for August 7, 2013

What's Up Wednesday is a weekly meme brought to you by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk. Check out the links to see what other authors are up to.

WHAT I'M READING

At the moment I am eagerly pacing my floor awaiting the arrival of my hard copy of Kimberly P. Chase's debut New Adult Sci-Fi THE APOLLO ACADEMY. This book is the future of the New Adult category, you guys. If you like Top Gun, Gattaca, or kissing hot boys, get on this one people!

WHAT I'M WRITING

I am proofing my mss one last time and reworking my NA Contemp and YA Sci-Fi for #WriteOnCon. I also wrote queries for them, even though I don't intend to query, which is...weird. But WriteOnCon isn't doing a synopsis forum this time and I wanted to see if my plots made sense anywhere other than in my head. Harrumph. Anyhoo, if you're participating this year, friend me up so we can trade crits!

WHAT ELSE I'M UP TO

Resisting the start of school preparations.  *sigh* if anyone finds my summer BREAK, do let me know. Also, setting up a bunch of reviews, interviews, blog tour features, and giveaways for the blog this month so subscribe and stay tuned!

WHAT INSPIRES ME

My amazing critique partner, Kim, whose debut I pimped above. She has worked so hard for this and I am so happy for her. Also, my husband, whose patience far exceeds mine. And the light at the end of the tunnel for IMPERFECTLY FINE

So, what's up with you guys?

  1. Thank God for the patience of husbands! Mine is a saint. And I'll definitely look for you on the writeoncon forums. I'll probably post my stuff this weekend. Good luck!

  4. The Apoll Academy looks really good, I seriously love that cover. It must be extra special seeing your CPs book make it to this point, knowing a story you've loved for a while is about to reach more readers.
