Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where we highlight the books we receive each week. To find out more or join the blog hop, click here.
So I mentioned above that I probably won't participate in this every week. Simply, I'm a starving artist who has yet to make any real money from her craft, so I can't afford to shop the way *I* shop for books. Here's this week's haul (and also my attention whore of a cat, Maggie):
Hi, my name is Dannie, and I'm a book binger. I cannot go to a bookstore and buy a book.
Bought
Switch by Carol Snow--Picked this up at a scholastic sale (because being an educator *does* occassionally have perks)
The Thirteenth Child by Patricia C. Wrede--another scholastic purchase.
Gamer Girl by Mari Mancusi--I've actually already read this one but I came across it and had to pick it up. Awesome upper MG read.
Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass by Meg Medina--in an effort to read more multicultural YA I had to pick this up when I saw the title. Could have been written by one of my students at work.
When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle--Love, love LOVE the concept of this book. Cannot wait to read it!
Love is All You Need by Deb Caletti--I swear, her entire list is on my TBR and has been forever. Finally getting around to picking some of hers up! Stay is also on my list.
Trafficked by Kim Purcell--has been on my list since SCBWI Carolinas.
Airheads by Meg Cabot--Love her! Another from the scholastic book fair.
Gifts
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro--this was on my wishlist, a gift from my awesome hubby!
Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl--another gift from hubs. Will have to get book 2 first though!
So, what have you added to YOUR stack this week?
Ooo great picks! Hope you enjoy them all & cute cat :)
